The former piece was discontinued in 2000 and the latter was a limited edition piece from 2008. Montinas had both pieces in stock and they were more than reasonably priced. Email communication was beyond responsive and prompt...even with a six hour time difference between Malaga, Sp. and Alexandria, VA. They advised that I would have to wait approximately six weeks until they received delivery of the item at their facility in Spain. On receipt of delivery they assured they would contact me again...Which they did. My order was shipped on March 4th, 2016 and I received it on March 8th, which I thought was amazing. The parasol which is made of the most delicate lace porcelain arrived in perfect condition. The package had travelled from Spain to Ontario, Canada without a scratch.... Very impressive! I contacted Lladro USA and was told that the piece was retired and Lladro was no longer making the replacement parasols, but they had some parasols in stock, although without the pole. I ordered a parasol from Lladro USA and was led to believe that it would fit my piece as long as I had the pole and the end cap. Unfortunately when I received the parasol, it did not fit and was not a replacement parasol at all. I was very fortunate to find Montinas during an online search for Lladro replacement parasols. Montinas was amazing and, via email, they were able to provide me with information re: the correct replacement parasol in a matter of hours and with no hassle. They assured me that the parasol I ordered would fit my piece and it did. I just received the parasol and it is the exact parasol I needed, it fits my piece perfectly and Montinas provided it in less than 2 weeks! I will definitely use and recommend Montinas for all future Lladro needs!

I am from Russia and I ordered some items just before the Christmas time, when one should normally expect delays in Customer Service replies and in shipments. The Customer Representative was VERY helpful, spending a lot of time finding all the details on how the items can be shipped to Russia, what are the customs rules (which tend to be changed from time to time), etc. After all the standard procedures were finished (took no more than 1 day) the order was shipped to me and I received in 2 days (!) - this is almost never happenning, as I shop over the internet from many countries.
